About Me

Hi! I’m Leighann, a 20 year old student at the University of California, San Diego.  I am devoting this site towards combining two of my passions: environmentalism and crafting.

As an environmental engineer, my main focus within my major lies with the environmental concerns of modern-day technological and industrial processes and addressing these issues by developing sustainable technology. Although my major is environmental engineering, this is not to suggest that my skills are only applicable to this specific field. I have always had a passion for studying how and why things are built and for striving towards developing more advanced, efficient techniques to accomplish these things. I chose to pursue environmental engineering because it allowed me to follow a course track similar to that of mechanical engineering but with additional classes to provide an environmental perspective. Thus, I believe that my major allows me to both directly pursue environmental engineering and to offer an environmental-friendly outlook on general engineering objectives.

As a student, I am no novice to the plethora of minimum wage occupations that so typically accompany the college lifestyle. For one pursuing an environmental engineering major with a math minor, I am surprisingly adept at creating a variety of overpriced coffee-based beverages. I am also experienced at adapting towards a low-budget lifestyle and environmentally implementing and altering my given resources to create new things. I love crafting, horchata, and my eco-friendly Honda Civic. Feel free to browse my site for inspiration, and leave some feedback if you’d like. Enjoy!
